The Staffordshire University Beaconside Campus is situated two miles from Stafford and a few minutes drive from the M6 (Junction 14). There is ample free parking on the campus.
Staffordshire University Television Studio (F1)
The three camera studio has a 100 sq metre broadcast standard studio floor with tiered seating for 120. Three 16x9 Sony DXC-D50 camera heads fitted with CA-D50 SDI studio adaptors are mounted on Vinten Pro-peds with Vision 250 heads. The studio area has a thirty lantern grid, Chromatte, drapes, Sharp Notevision data projector, 6.5 metre square electrically operated screen and full Dolby 5.1 surround-sound.
All studio signalling runs via a comprehensive racks room with CCU's, waveform monitor, matrix, streaming interface and encoder.
The gallery is fitted with Autocue, Pinnacle Deko graphics, ForA Ginga VPS700 switcher and effects, Sony D50 CCU engineering remotes, DSR-1500 DVCam recording and playout facilities.
In the audio room are a Strand 24 way Genius Pro Lightpalette desk, 16 channel Soundcraft mixing desk with Tascam CD160 and Avid Post Production area.

Music Technology Audio Facilities
Three 40 channel analogue studios recording to Alesis HD24 recorders, and incorporating outboard compressors, gates, limiters expanders and effects units. All rooms are PC based running Nuendo, Cubase, Reason, Ableton Live UAD plug-ins, and a range of third party plug-ins. Three live rooms with backline, PA, keyboard and drums. Two individual project booths with PC based workstations running Cubase, Reason, ProTools, UAD plug-ins, and various other third party plug-ins.
5.1 mastering room with valve based outboard, multi band compressor, Yamaha 02R, Mackie control, Nuendo, Cubase, Waves and UAD plug-ins. PC based digital mixing room with Yamaha 01v, Alesis HD24, Mackie control and various hardware synths.
Three, Digidesign Pro-Tools HD2 powered recording studios with 256 track recording, mixing and post-production capabilities. Each has fully air-conditioned live and control rooms, an excellent selection of high quality microphones, up-to-the-minute software instruments, outboard signal processors and mastering tools.
